Description

The Grand Canyon South Rim offers a powerful and inspiring landscape, overwhelming the senses with its immense size. Spanning 277 miles in length, up to 18 miles across at Mather Point, and 10 miles across at Bright Angel Lodge, the canyon reaches a depth of 1 mile. Its unique combinations of geologic color and erosional forms make it a must-see adventure.

Experience the South Rim like no other, starting at Bright Angel Lodge with the option to walk the 2.5-mile paved trail. This walk provides breathtaking panoramic views of the canyon, Colorado River, and Phantom Ranch. Alternatively, use the free Grand Canyon shuttles to ride up to Mather Point and walk the paved trail downhill or take the bus to Yavapai Point and return to Bright Angel Lodge, where the bus awaits for the return journey to Las Vegas.

The tour includes a 20-25 minute stop in Kingman, Arizona, to stretch and a 25-30 minute stop in Seligman on Route 66 for shopping and photo opportunities. A light continental breakfast, including muffins, Belvita cookies, a banana, and juice, is provided, along with unlimited bottled water on the bus. For lunch, choose from a deli selection of turkey, ham, vegetarian, or a large garden salad with or without turkey or ham.

Where is my pick up and what time is it?

Guests will be picked up at almost all the major hotels on Las Vegas Blvd. Pick ups start between 6-7 AM depending on your hotel. Call the number on your e-ticket for your hotel pick-up time.

What time do we leave town?

Tours will leave Las Vegas at around 7:15 am.

How many people are allowed on the bus?

Vehicles range from 4 to 57 passengers. Sweetours reserves the right to use any of their vehicles for the tours depending on the size and of the group or availability. Any special needs must be reported at time of booking.

What should I wear?

Comfortable shoes for walking, and weather appropriate clothing for the cooler temperatures with higher elevation.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes. This tour provides lots of great photo opportunities.

How long is the tour?

It is a 14+ hour bus and walking tour. The tour will pick you up and drop you off the same day from Las Vegas. Pick-ups start between 6-7 AM depending on your hotel.

Is lunch provided?

Yes. The tour will provide a light breakfast, unlimited bottles of water, and a boxed lunch. The lunch is a deli-style sandwich with cookies, chips, and fruit. There will be stops along the way for restrooms and snacks as well.

Can I bring my own food/beverages?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverage.
